Smart Journeys | Cambridge
As of May 2023, EMC is working with Smart Journey’s Cambridge to ensure the bicycles commuters are using are in tip top condition. Offering servicing at no cost to the public.
Smart Journeys is a not-for-profit commercial enterprise, advising and supporting employers, residential developers, and schools to implement and promote sustainable and active travel.
EMC will be carrying out free servicing for Northstowe & Alconbury residents 3 days a month across the whole summer.

Secure Bike sheds (Luton & Bedford train station)
Luton and Bedford have integrated secure cycle units which require a fob to access them. Commuters say they feel safer leaving their bikes locked up in a unit that requires registration to access.
To access the shelter, cyclists just need to email Sustainable.Transport@bedford.gov.uk with their full name, address in Bedford Borough and phone number. They will then receive details on how to access the unit and will need to download the ‘Okey Access’ app on their smart phone.

Kind donations from the people of bedford are being repaired for multiple uses:
Ukrainian Appeal, some bikes are given to Ukrainian families staying here for a while.
Families having a hard time win terms of income, ensuring they have a way of travelling around Bedford. Since mid 2022 over 300 bikes have been repaired and distributed around Bedford.
